Why we Need to hear Positive, Good News
Let’s face facts, the older we get the more likely we are to become bitter, depressed, and resentful. There are several reasons for this. It may be the failings in our own life. Perhaps it’s the feeling that we’ve been dealt a “bad hand”. Sometimes it’s just a very negative experience we’ve had with other people.
In addition to this, we are constantly being bombarded with negative news stories from the Mainstream Media. These stories are usually about people and the atrocious acts they perform. Is it any wonder why we begin to lose our faith in Humanity? There’s just too much negativity being spread around, and it’s a vicious unhealthy cycle.
The Mainstream Media
The Mainstream Media has several objectives in mind; the main one being Ratings. After all, News is a money making industry. Fear and paranoia sell. Fear-based news preys on the anxieties we all have; and in turn, holds us hostage. They create a problem, try to make us think it’s heavily spread, and then promise us a solution if we stick around until the end of the newscast.
The Mainstream Media also likes promoting isolated events as trends; making enemies among us. With the current state of race relations in this country, at least according to “them” (the Mainstream Media), they’re clearly succeeding.
Donald Trump may overtly proclaim “Fake News” more often than not, but there is a kernel of truth in his proclamations. I myself like to proclaim “Bad News” when I see all of the stories that air on the major networks.
Ditch the Mainstream Nonsense, you’ll be so much Happier
I believe that kindness is contagious. I believe hearing stories about simple acts of kindness or other positive news stories can slowly change the way someone feels about humanity as a whole. I’ll be starting out by posting several of my favorite positive news stories throughout the week!
Without Further Ado, here’s some Happy News:

Man Sends Text To Marine Who Stole His Truck To Save Dozens Of Lives In Vegas Shooting. While I do not condone stealing, he had a very heroic reason to do so. In fact, I’d be happy if he “stole my truck” to do it, as I’d do the same to his. I guess there’s a time and a place for everything, and now even “stealing” joins that list.

Dog Finds loving new home after being dumped on the road, tangled in a chain. Animal cruelty is truly sickening and is about as low as you can go in my opinion. As Gandhi says, “The Greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated”. Let’s all do our part and try to reciprocate the love our furry friends unconditionally give us!
Speaking of Pets, treat your furry friend to something special.
